Strolling around the quirky Pacific Square shopping center, with its curious mix of restaurants, I was struck by the name of one, which was decorated on the outside with oversized photographs of seemingly every dish on the menu. The restaurant is called 88 Pocha & Bunsik . Signs also read 'Korean emotional cuisine & casual food.' I was puzzled. Google research managed only a bit of enlightenment. First of all, 'pocha' is slang for a street vendor who sells Korean comfort dishes, often out of a tented street stall.
